How to participate?

Join the platform and build a multidisciplinary team of two to five members.

We encourage you to build a team bringing together different and complementary backgrounds to develop the best solution! This will give you a broader skill set and help to encourage new ideas.

Alternatively, you can join an existing, incomplete team, share your knowledge with the other member(s) and improve your own chances of winning.

Deliverables

The Driver experience challenge will involve a three-phase process.

Phase 1

You have to submit an initial deliverable of 5 slides maximum, which the jurys members will use to select the best ideas. You will be asked to submit your documentation online, outlining your initial ideas and introducing your team.

You will have to upload this document on the platform before November 15th, 11:59 pm.

Phase 2

• Submission of the final documentation

The selected teams will need to deliver 2 documents, to validate their participation:

  • a 15-20 slides detailed project presentation
  • An executive summary in 1 page max. This document will be used during the public voting phase to determinate 1 of the 3 finalists teams. It should enable the public to understand clearly and quickly your project, so don't hesitate to use pictures or videos.

You have to submit these documents before December 15th, 11:59pm.

The Jurys members will start to vote immediatly from the December 16th, 9:00 am to allow 2 teams to reach the great final. So don't be late !

The 3rd team will be selected during a public vote on the platform from December 16th, 10:00 am to December 21th, 3:00 pm.

Download the qualification document below, present a deeper version of your project and drop it on your online space to validate your participation to the second phase. 

YOUR PRESENTATION HAS TO BE WRITTEN IN ENGLISH.

Feel free to use videos, lines of code, illustrations, screenshots or any other elements that can illustrate your ideas.

Phase 3

The 3 teams qualified will be invited at La Defense on January 12 th, 2016. They will have 10 minutes to present their ideas to the jurys members.

Official Kick-Off Day!

The participants are invited to the Driver Experience Kick-Off Day to pitch their ideas, which will give them a first round of feedback from ALD's mentors.

Each participant are welcome to this event to meet other candidates and discuss about their ideas, to see if they have similar ones and find other team mates. Each team or participant will be able to ask questions and receive tips to find the best idea.

This is the chance for you to get a good start!

Who can participate?

The Driver Experience Challenge is open to students from various backgrounds as long as they have ideas to boost the drivers' experience :

- Developers
- Designers
- Business developers
- Sales representatives
- Marketers
- Etc.

Mentors

You will have the opportunity to get ALD mentor who will guide you all along the contest. Your mentor will be at your side to advice you and help you in the development of your solution. All exchanges bewteen mentors and their teams will be made through the online plateform.

Selection criteria

A jury composed of ALD Automotive’s managers will evaluate the projects with the following criteria:

- Originality
- Relevance 
- Feasibility
